Wait till it is on special before buying it would be the best thing to do.. Labyrinth of Grisaia is the second game in the series, and completing the original is most definitely a requirement before starting this one. The setup is a little different here, with the game split into essentially three sections. First comes the epilogues of all the good endings from the first game- these are quite enjoyable and give a good deal of closure to those scenarios. Next up is the main route, Cocoon of Caprice, which tells the painful story of Yuuji's youth and past in the form of flashbacks, along with reactions from characters in the present time learning the information. Finally there is a series of amusing short stories set in all different time periods and being just for fun. There are no major changes from the original game, and it's a very smooth continuation. This is a shorter entry and there are no dialogue options this time around, you simply choose your scenario from the main menu. Be warned that this ends on a cliffhanger for the final game in the trilogy, Eden of Grisaia. It may not have all the magic of the original but if you enjoyed Fruit of Grisaia, this is basically required reading. Enjoy.. Yuuji here vote for my Yumiko Pyon ♥. If you loved The Fruits of Grisaia then obviously you're going to read this regardless of what people say about it. I can confirm though that this game is worth playing, but the price may turn you away.. The game asks you on the main menu what stories you want to see kind of like Majikoi S does. There are 3 major choices: Seeing the individual afterstories for the five good endings from Fruit of the Grisaia, watching a set of classing sketch comedy scenes like the common route of the first game, or choosing a route that will tell you the details of Yuuji's past.This game is definitely a great successor to the first game. The afterstories are great, and I'm reasonably certain you'll enjoy them no matter which girl's story you liked in the previous game (I even felt Makina's afterstory made up for some of the problems I had with her route in the first game). Yuuji's past, about which we obviously got some pretty obvious hints in the first game, was really something that I wanted to get some more detail on, and this game definitely delivered. The route gives details about things like how he met principal Tachibana, details about certain actions Yuuji has mentioned in the past, and even reveals some new information that I hadn't pieced together yet. So far I've seen all the afterstories, most of Yuuji's route, and a couple of the few dozen standalone skits. I've clocked in 20 hours on this game just from that which I think makes it worth the price. Sure, I got 60 hours out of Fruit of the Grisaia when I bought it on steam to play again, but just because this game is shorter for a similar price doesn't mean this game isn't worth your time; if you enjoyed the first game, this one is a great way to either view more of your favorite routes, learn some new details about the protagonist, or even just give you your Grisaia fix until the series is finally finished getting translated.. Welp. The most fan-servicey of all Grisaia saga, every fanboy's dream. But seriously though, the price is a rip-off regarding the missing content, including 6 whole 18+ scenarios, plus all the H-scene from 5 after-story routes and Cocoon of Caprice.Still, gotta say I love the soundtrack from this installment the most compared to other Grisaia games. World's End, Thanatos the Creator, and cigar&coffee are easily among my personal favorite soundtracks of all time.I won’t downvote it because this game still lives up to Grisaia Trilogy's standard. However, I will only recommend it if you are a fan of Grisaia and you have played or already owned the unrated version. Cannot recommend it over the Denpasoft unrated version otherwise.
